Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) support

NEXUS provided consultancy services to the Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) on specifications, operational requirements and business model of a proposed multi-agency crisis response information management capacity (Shared Information Framework and Technology, SHIFT.

SHIFT is an effort to enhance information sharing and collaboration between governmental, non-governmental, private and local actors in conflict management situations and thereby produce better “situational picture” for all participants.

NEXUS provided an expert, independent and external view on the operational feasibility of SHIFTOrg model and proposed options for its effective positioning as a practical and sustainable IM service provider to multiple client-groups within various crisis management scenarios. The intention of the report is to provide actionable guidance to the SHIFT Core Development Team and the Finnish Defence Forces.
