NEXUS works with its clients and partners to translate strategic objectives into workable policy and implementation measures. We assist them in streamlining and rationalizing private and public resources and to acquire new ideas and partnerships/alliances.

We provide technical assistance related to capacity building, programming, project cycle management (PCM), performance measurement, and monitoring and evaluation. Our aim is to transfer our specialist knowledge in the areas of migration management and development to our clients and partners.

NEXUS experts are also called upon in situations of acute crisis to provide specialist support in the field of humanitarian emergency assistance and related programming.

Recent activities in this field:

In support to the Austrian Ministry of Interior (BMI), NEXUS carries out  targeted research and analysis is a feasibility study related to encouraging sustainable voluntary return of migrants to Nigeria and Kosovo by introducing an innovative private-sector component.

In the recent crisis in South Ossetia, Georgia, a NEXUS expert provided emergency response advisory services; to the CARE International Office in the Causcasus by pdrafting project proposals and designing and operating the Integrated Rapid Assessment (IRA) in in the Conflict Zone.

For the Finnish Crisis Management Initiative (CMI), provided advise on specifications, operational requirements and business model of a proposed multi-agency crisis response information management capacity (SHIFT).

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, NEXUS exxperts assisted the UNHCR in establishing requirements for camp information management in North Kivu.
